Here I will tell you how to overcome what is trying to control you.
And this is far from being limited to alcohol, smoking, eating corpses, sugar, and so on.
You may be surprised—but this is EVERYTHING.
In the Bhagavad Gita, the Absolute says that dependencies exist on three levels: ignorance, passion, and goodness.
In ignorance, we can somehow imagine what this means—for example, drugs, alcohol, all kinds of filth...
But how can a brahman be subject to dependencies? This may be difficult for an ordinary person to understand.
And it is hardly surprising—because to understand something, you need to be at least on that level, and to understand it fully, you need to be above it.
But what can be higher than sattva? Higher than brahman, than goodness?
The thing is, there is nothing pure in matter. Even goodness, sattva, is not absolutely pure.
But as they say, everyone is eager to discuss the “impurity of brahmans” while they themselves are in tamas up to their ears...
You need to start by pulling yourself out of tamas by the head, like Münchausen. And not just partially—out of complete tamas.
Then, before you know it, the dependency will move into the guna of passion, where it will be easier to control.
And from there, reaching sattva is within easy reach....
To begin with, I want to give you a test.
It is simple.
You need to analyze which topics you cannot discuss calmly.
For example, smoking and alcohol. You do not smoke or drink.
BUT!
When someone starts talking about these subjects, you avoid them. Or snort and leave, saying, “Oh, these low, immoral little people...”
Does this situation sound familiar?
That is, you do not smoke or drink, but suddenly a strange reaction arises.
Write in the comments whether this happens.
Someone starts talking about sex, and you think, “What a nightmare—and this person considers themselves spiritual! They are...” And off it goes.
First of all, I want to tell you that a person who has freed themselves from a dependency takes it calmly. That is, if someone is talking about the weather, sex, vodka... it is all the same to them.
That is a real victory over dependency.
