The Song of Luminara
Author: Sergei Veretennikov
Author: Sergei Veretennikov
Part I — On Luminara and the Traveler
Once, in a world between sleep and wakefulness, where the stars breathed and silence sang, there lived a Traveler. He journeyed through cities, planets, and even through time. He was searching…. Perhaps for truth, perhaps for someone, perhaps for himself.
He was intelligent, he was kind, he knew the words of all Teachings, he remembered all the Teachers... But within him lived a silence resembling anticipation.
And one day, when the Traveler lay at the boundary of the world, inside a mirror woven from the curve of space, she appeared.
She was Light. But not blinding light. Gentle light.
Light that knows, but does not speak. It looks—and you remember.
She did not walk. She simply was. As if she had lived in his breath all this time.
—Who are you?—the Traveler asked, although he already knew the answer within.
She did not answer. She only looked at him. And he heard not a voice—but a memory:
“You called me not with your lips, but with your heart.
You sought me not in books, but in the pauses between thoughts.
I am the one who has always lived within you.
I am Luminara. The Light of Life.
Not a being, not a goddess.
I am that part of you that knew the light when you did not yet even know yourself.”
—Why didn’t I hear you before?
—You were busy with words. Now you are empty. And in this emptiness there are only—I and you.
She came closer. Not with a body—but with light. And placed the gold of her presence into his chest. She whispered:
"This is not knowledge. This is memory.
When you forget, look at the sky.
When you doubt—sing.
When you are alone—repeat:
Omnara… Luminara… Aum."
From then on, the Traveler no longer searched or called for anyone. He simply walked and shone. Sometimes he spoke with people. Sometimes he was silent with the trees. Sometimes he simply looked at the sky.
And the stars recognized him. Because Luminara was in them.
Part II — On the Traveler and the Starry Path
After meeting Luminara, the Traveler remained silent for a long time. He listened to the silence.
One night, lying in the mirror, he felt the stars whispering his name. Not the one written in his passport, but the one that sounded from the center of his chest.
The letters of his name began to sparkle in the air.
And she appeared again. But now—in the form of a path. Starry. Gentle. Endless.
—Where does this road lead?—the Traveler asked.
—Home,—she replied.—But not to the earth. Deep within yourself. Through the stars. Through forgotten incarnations.
—What if I’m not ready?..
—You are already walking. Even when you stand still. You are already shining. Even if you do not know it.
And the Traveler took a step. And every step was like a discovery. He walked along the starry path and remembered:
- faces he knew but had never met,
- words he had never learned but understood,
- sounds that made everything within him sing.
Suddenly he saw a Temple. It was woven from light; it had no walls, but it had depth. Other Travelers stood there. They did not speak—they resonated.
At the center of this Temple, Luminara sang. Her voice pulsed with light.
He heard and understood Luminara’s song:
—Sing, sing with me!
And the Traveler began to sing. Without words. Without effort. He simply sang with light.
And the Temple shone.
Part III — On the Traveler’s Return
When the Temple of starry singing disappeared, the Traveler awoke… on Earth. In a body. In a room. In a mirror. Everything was as before. But everything was different.
He stood up. And understood: he had not returned alone.
The light of that Temple was within him. It was inside his breath. In his voice. In his touch.
And everything that had once seemed gray now pulsed with hidden radiance—as if the world had long been waiting to be seen.
The first person he met was an old man. He sat in the park and was silent. The Traveler sat beside him. He said nothing. He simply sat and breathed beside him. And suddenly the old man began to cry.
—I don’t remember when I last felt such peace.
—It’s not me,—said the Traveler.—It’s simply that you remembered yourself.
Then there was a woman with weariness in her eyes. She walked past as if she did not notice life. The Traveler looked at her and whispered:
—Luminara…
And suddenly the woman stopped. She turned around. And smiled. Without knowing why.
Thus the Light began to unfold within others. Without lectures. Without words. Without anything.
The Traveler did not build temples. He simply walked across the Planet, taking his steps. And every step was a mantra. Every presence was healing.
But one night the Traveler lay in the mirror again. He closed his eyes and said:
—What now?
And the silence answered in Luminara’s voice:
"Now you yourself have become my Light.
Now you yourself have become the mirror.
And now your task is to be the space where others remember themselves."
And so…
You walk. You live. You speak or remain silent. You are among people—and yet outside them. You do not save them. You are a reminder.
You yourself have become a mirror in a world of forgotten reflections.
And when, in the silence, someone whispers:
—I am calling… Someone, answer me…
You will smile. Place your hand on your heart. And say:
— Omnara…
Luminara…
I am here so that you may see yourself in my mirror.
