After all, external light interferes with concentrating on the inner light. (Especially when you are not at home and have no way to cover your eyes with anything). I repeated the fourth-day exercise at dusk and noticed that now my closed eyes were seeing something very similar to what the Teacher showed in the video: a heterogeneous area of dark and slightly lighter shades mixed together. I singled out the light spot closest to me and began to look closely at it. As during the first time I did the exercise, it did not want to stay in one place and kept moving, while I followed it. For some reason, my eyes beneath my eyelids became tired and slightly painful, apparently from looking so intently. This sometimes happens to me, for example, when, being nearsighted, I try to make out the number of an approaching bus in the distance(this is where the third eye comes in handy: instead of a number, my ordinary eyes see something blurry, but inside I get a clear sense of whether it is my bus or not, and only after some time do the digits become clear to my ordinary eyes, and my brain becomes convinced with its own eyes: whether the premonition was right) I also suddenly got the feeling, like others, that my eyes were somehow open even though they were closed.
The fifth-day exercise was conducted in ideal conditions(compared with the previous days): in a closed, dark room without windows and with the lights off. And yes, it was much more interesting that way! It was easy to see the dark and light areas. They were also larger than the spots on the previous day. And again, they did not stay in one place, but seemed to flow into one another. I tried to concentrate on the lightest of the areas, but as time passed it seemed to grow dimmer, while the neighboring one, on the contrary, became brighter, so I shifted my attention to it. My eyes and even my brain, so to speak, quickly became tired. Then it occurred to me to repeat the third-day exercise, squinting tightly. I repeated it. It became easier. The light areas became brighter. I continued following them until my eyes became completely tired. In general, thanks to the intensive, I realized that my eyes are very weak. But I think these practices are training them. I will continue.
Thank you, Teacher, it is very interesting!
Since yesterday, I’ve been seeing the pre-dawn sky—as if dawn is just about to break. I couldn’t manage to latch onto any particularly bright area.
Today, white clearly predominates—not merely light-colored, but white. Constant flashes of white mist from above and from the sides. White stars appear; when you concentrate on them, they go out. A whitish-bluish flame appeared across the entire panorama and lasted for a long time. I don’t know whether these are the beginnings of light. Maybe I’m doing something wrong... But during this daytime session there was a great deal of white. I tried looking into the white both more deeply and from very close up, right in front of my eyes.
For half an hour, if not longer, I watched the white formations. I get psychologically tired, so to speak, not physically.
I’ll continue the experiment this evening.
Day five of the intensive: I can’t watch the video on VK because I’ve been blocked there for a very long time. Is there any way you could help me with my predicament?
Amazing impressions! A sea of questions arises. It is becoming increasingly difficult to stop the VD, because I have never experienced anything like this before and my emotions are overflowing. Although I had occasionally stared into the dark screen behind my closed eyelids throughout my life, just like that. Now it is perceived differently—Attention and consciousness are closely connected. As soon as attention becomes blurred, the image immediately becomes blurred as well, and the gaze becomes blurred and seems to shift into another (I do not even know how to put it—dimension, perhaps). I try to turn my attention back on precisely, but the image does not immediately switch back to its original “dimension.” When attention is precise, the image is bright, very close, and extremely clear. It feels as though, when attention slips away, I am somehow “falling asleep.” Something like that. It seems so. That is, I am not here—or rather, not with myself, in a way; consciousness seems to switch off (simultaneously with attention). When I try to tune the image back to clarity, there is tension in my eyes or head... I cannot understand it. The mind cannot comprehend what is happening. My eyes are closed, but there is definitely eye movement. It does not fit in my head. How can I open and close my eyes while they are closed? And I do it. How do I do it?.. It occurs to me that by opening my eyes, I come into full attention, while by closing my closed eyes, attention disperses or unconsciously switches off. And... It seems that this is how a person falls asleep. I also want to share this—whether by chance or not, before the intensive I began cleansing my body, in particular rinsing my nasopharynx. And then, around the third day, my nose became blocked, and afterward it got worse. Although I continue rinsing it. Perhaps it has started cleaning everything out and drawing it out further, even though previously rinsing the nasopharynx immediately relieved a runny nose or anything else. And another thing—it means we can switch off vision, even inner vision, while retaining feeling, hearing, and so on. That is, with my eyes closed, I can remove attention from vision completely without falling asleep, and switch it to another area. It may seem simple and natural to some people, but I am astonished. At first the screen was very close, right in front of my eyes. After several practices, I tried to “move it farther away,” so to speak. It worked. When I focused my attention on it, the bright spot began to shrink and disappear, and so did each subsequent one to which I shifted my attention. The next time I tried to preserve it and then enlarge it—and it worked. You start taking attention more seriously. Now the words “where attention is, there are thoughts,” as well as such life events, become concrete and worthy of a more serious attitude. When I read the next lesson, someone inside me shouts, “Hooray! Great! Awesome!” immediately, simultaneously with reading, before thinking it over. Even though the mind says, “But this is impossible. How can it be?..” And then: “Could this really be possible?.. Inconceivable...” The sensations are like those before first grade, when I wanted to learn to read as quickly as possible, find out how adults know so many interesting things, and be able to do them. Fascinating!!! Very. Thank you!
Day 5. I practiced for about 50 minutes (in the evening; in the morning, about 30 minutes). There was no bright light, but the background was black only at the beginning. It was a fascinating journey into the world of sensations. After the practice, the “magnet” in my head became stronger, and the laptop screen seemed to glow more brightly.
Day five of the intensive: I can’t watch the video on VK because it has been blocked there for a very long time. Is there any way you could help me with this problem?
I’m having breathing problems; Kapalabhati is difficult for me. But a large area of the screen is occupied by a dim, faint light that moves slowly. I’ll spend the day simply practicing breathing, since I’ve started feeling dizzy and coughing as a consequence of pneumonia that I went through while still on my feet. I’ll look at the screen at lunchtime; it should be easier.
When I watched the video for day 4, I was very happy, as if I had seen the best film of all time! Perhaps because this practice seemed very familiar to me and I had done it before. I started practicing and, of course, saw chakras, but the black-and-white screen is still black and white. I did Kapalabhati for the first time just now and noticed pleasant sensations in my body and an increased flow of blood to my head. I’ll have more time on the weekend, so I’ll continue.
Good afternoon. I did the intensive exercises through day 4, and my forehead started hurting and throbbing. I saw a violet light with a black dot in the middle that was expanding. Thank you!
Namaste, everyone! It was so interesting: today, against a completely black background after Kapalabhati, I saw a tiny point of light, managed to bring it closer on the screen in front of me, and it began to shine on its own. It lasted for several seconds.
Greetings, namaste! Today I did the final practice. First I did Kapalabhati, and then the relaxation practice. The meditation lasted about 40 minutes. I saw LIGHT. At first, the glow was very faint. Then it grew stronger. Against a blue background, the spot pulsed and breathed. Thank you, Teacher.
Good evening! I did Kapalabhati, relaxation, and breathing, found the light, and began concentrating. My forehead pulsed again, as did both sides of my skull. The point was shining; it would alternately contract and shrink. At first, my vision was tunnel-like. I understood how it works: you have to practice constantly to get results! Thank you!
Good evening. I do the exercises every day. Although where it was recommended to do something three times, I often did it only once—that’s my rhythm, but I’m trying. In any case, I really enjoyed the practice and will continue doing it. I was absolutely delighted to be introduced to Kapalabhati. I haven’t seen the light directly on the screen in front of my eyes yet. At first, I saw simply a black screen, then black-and-white static, as shown in the example, then lighter threads, like cobwebs. After that, the black part of the screen became uniform, sort of a blended black with blue and gray; the next time, black with pink and gray. The white cobweb-like threads running through everything remained.
Yesterday, after I started doing Kapalabhati, music suddenly began playing unexpectedly—the alarm—at 17:05 Moscow time, and because of that I forgot about the screen and saw with my inner vision something as if a bucket of water had been poured over my head. Only it wasn’t water, but liquid, concentrated light, ivory-colored with a pearlescent sheen, and it kept pouring. Then, for the first time, I saw the energy of light itself begin to spread sideways from me, drawing three-dimensional figure eights. A very small circle was close to me, while the larger ones were about 1.5–2 meters away from me on the right and left, resembling butterfly wings. The energy was already pink, also with sparkles.
Today I did the cleansing practices, and they relaxed me so much that I forgot about the screen again. I noticed that I was rapidly flying through space in the form of small white lightning flashes, and the white cobwebs were also like little bolts of lightning. As soon as I saw this and thought, "Wow, I’ve "taken off" somewhere, how cool—I’m flying. Where am I going? I’m like lightning," something immediately brought me back into my body. And once again, there was a screen in front of my eyes, not yet bright.
I realized that I need to continue the cleansing practices—daily and regularly—to cleanse the third eye, and more than that. It was interesting to read about the third eye on Wiki today. I’m grateful for this practice; it’s a wonderful gift to all of us.
And so this wonderful intensive has come to an end. Thanks to it, my perception of light and darkness has changed significantly! I also discovered kapalabhati—a truly wonderful technique that clears the mind. I practiced it on the sixth and seventh days and immediately noticed that the areas of light on my inner screen had become larger and brighter. And finally, they acquired a relative stability instead of flowing into one another! The dynamics of these changes are truly encouraging: whereas before I saw something like a dark sieve through which rather dim light showed here and there, now, on the contrary, practically the entire space of my inner screen is light, with separate patches of darkness appearing in it. I can see light with my eyes closed! It’s so cool! But now this new perception can no longer be switched off: when I go to bed and close my eyes, or simply want to relax them after staring at my computer monitor, I no longer see darkness. My consciousness immediately adjusts to the new state and focuses on the bright spots that I simply didn’t notice before. It turns out that the darkness when closing one’s eyes is just some kind of “glitch,” an illusion, a strange habit of consciousness. In short, it’s gone. But my brain still finds it strange that whenever I close my eyes, instead of the familiar darkness, it sees something completely different... The light isn’t very bright yet, and that’s a good thing—I’m getting used to it gradually; otherwise, falling asleep in dazzling light would be difficult.
Many thanks to the Teacher and all the participants for the powerful flow that makes it possible to quickly master this wonderful practice! It was amazing!!!
I will definitely continue practicing.
Yesterday I read this article on Wikipedia and decided to look with the third eye, like an animal’s eye (since it’s always Mahakal this and Mahakal that). I thought: okay, we’re in a cave, the entrance is blocked by rocks, we need to get out—which direction is the light coming from? The answer: “light is registered in four directions” Meaning, dig wherever you want—there’s maya everywhere, and in the end it doesn’t really matter whether it’s an apartment or a cave. When you’re in a cave in a real-life situation, it’s better to awaken some kind of wild animal within yourself; the brain and consciousness reconfigure and start working differently.
Two or three months ago, I practiced transferring my consciousness into a paper pyramid (DP)—not intentionally, but I simply needed some object, and then I saw my body from the outside. It was only an outline, filled with bright light inside, and this light was merged with the general infinite light. Of course, I wasn’t surprised, since some time earlier I had practiced the yoga of clear light, and then switched to another practice; apparently, the effect remained. So now, in this practice, I expected something similar—that is, intense white light filling the entire space—but it didn’t happen that way. There was more light, but not as much. Then I transferred my consciousness into the pyramid once again and saw a candle flame in my head, but that wasn’t it either... Well, I took a break and actually wanted to leave it all behind... I had seen the light once, after all, even if it was in another practice, but still)), yet I understood that another experience probably wouldn’t count and that I had to continue... And then I remembered jnana yoga. This inspired me greatly; I tuned into its essence, and the light manifested throughout my body—not bright and sparkling, but kind of chalky, the natural color of chalk, shell-like)). Then I noticed movement in muladhara, a very pleasant, light vibration. Then, in the form of swirling funnels, it rose upward throughout my entire body—not along the sushumna, but evenly everywhere. After that, I heard the sound of a little bell in my ear; at first I thought it was coming from the neighbors through the wall. The practice is interesting: there is a task, a time frame, and there should be a result. I’m usually in no hurry, though—I stretch things out over years...
Greetings.
I do all the exercises every day. I can do up to 150 breaths of Kapalabhati. I manage to see the light most of the time. Sometimes the glow is colored.
