Greetings! Thank you, Веретенников Сергей Веретенников Сергей , for covering the topic of probiotics! I would like to share my experience of using hay bacillus (Bacillus subtilis), mentioned by Веретенников Сергей Веретенников Сергей in post 2 of this topic. According to Wikipedia, Subtilis translates from Latin into Russian as thin, delicate, or elegant. In Russian, субтильный also refers to a thin person. I purchased hay bacillus from one of the online marketplaces back in November 2024. I used it for some time after purchasing it, following the instructions in the description, but did not notice any particular effects and safely put the remainder in the refrigerator. In January 2025, I took part in KEI sessions conducted by Master 873415 to overcome addictions. After these sessions, my craving for fatty and sweet foods decreased substantially (in my view, the former developed after COVID and the latter after I quit smoking). Encouraged by the information provided by Веретенников Сергей Веретенников Сергей , I resumed taking hay bacillus around late April or early May 2025, GRADUALLY increasing the recommended dose to be taken orally with water from 2 to 6–8 times the stated amount. By the time I resumed taking hay bacillus, I had settled into eating twice a day: at 11 a.m.–1 p.m. and 5–6 p.m. As a result of taking hay bacillus, I noticed a sharp decrease in appetite—to be honest, I had never imagined that a probiotic could have such an effect. My craving for sweet and fatty foods decreased even further; my weight dropped by 5–6 kg, and my skin became clearer. In addition, I breathe using the Frolov breathing simulator. After I began taking hay bacillus regularly, I noticed an increase in the duration of the respiratory pause (inhalation/exhalation), which I had not previously been able to achieve. Following my recommendation, relatives aged 74–75 took hay bacillus and reported the opposite effect: their appetite increased, although it had previously been low. I added hay bacillus to the food of a fifteen-year-old cat. Although the cat tried every possible way to avoid taking it, after consuming it the cat became more physically active: it started running and playing, which it had rarely done lately; its shedding also decreased. I assume that the effects listed above from taking hay bacillus are connected with its ability to suppress pathogenic microflora. Those wishing to repeat my experience with hay bacillus should remember that each person’s age, health, metabolism, and microflora are individual, and a probiotic may work differently for different people. Be attentive and cautious when increasing the recommended amount! Stay healthy!

After I started taking bacterial starter cultures, my family noticed improved gastrointestinal function.

Finally, I bought these Reuteri bacteria too. I mixed them with inulin in a 50/50 ratio and filled vegan capsules with the mixture. I got 16 capsules. I’ve already eaten two today.

It looks like such flour. Anyone who isn’t familiar with it wouldn’t even think that anything living could be in there. Given the right conditions—temperature they like, inulin, and milk—these bacteria will start multiplying until they reach quantities that some people don’t even know how to describe.😁

Oh, hallelujah! I finally bought one too! It’s perfect, and it comes with a one-liter container. They had sold out on Ozon, but I found one on Yandex Market. I picked it up yesterday, and the first yogurt was ready today! Well, almost ready—it still needed a little more time, but I’ve already tasted it. It’s some kind of nectar of the gods—so delicious! And most importantly, healthy! My yogurt experiments have begun.🙂

Hello! I wanted to ask about this yogurt maker. Does it maintain the temperature properly? I bought one like this on Ozon too. During the first few days of use, I didn’t check the temperature. Then I decided to check it and found that it heats up to as much as 50 degrees! At that temperature, the bacteria are already dead. I set it to 36–37 degrees. So now I make yogurt and other cultures in a thermos.

Hello! Wow. Yes, of course, we know that Reuteri requires exactly 37 degrees. A thermos is an interesting solution you came up with. But I’d still like to experiment with this yogurt maker. I haven’t bought a suitable thermometer yet. I only have an ordinary electronic one for measuring body temperature, and I’m afraid it might get damaged if I immerse it in liquid, so I’ll get a special cooking thermometer. But here’s what I’ve already noticed. I touched the full yogurt container with my hands, and it seemed to be about body temperature. Then I ate two-thirds of the jar of yogurt and put the remainder back in the yogurt maker to finish. I took it out an hour later, and the jar had clearly heated up more—not hot, but really too warm, definitely above body temperature. So I concluded that only a full jar should be put in this yogurt maker. In any case, I definitely need to buy a thermometer and check it: at the bottom, on the sides, at the top, and in the center. If the temperature differs, as described above, I’ll try placing something under the bottom of the jar so it heats less, adjusting the temperature, and so on. Overall, I liked the yogurt maker—it’s convenient and compact, a one-liter container fits right in, it has a display, and you can see the yogurt. I want to experiment with it, figure out the temperature, and have a precise understanding of how to consistently get exactly 37 degrees from it.

Namaste, I boiled the milk, cooled it, added the starter, and first covered it with a towel, then the pot lid, and wrapped it in a woolen shawl; after that, I left it overnight in a warm place—as my grandmother used to do in the village. I also judged the temperature by touch, but I suppose I’ll have to buy a thermometer specifically for the kitchen. The yogurt turns out very tasty and of medium thickness, of course. The main thing isn’t the taste, though, but making sure the beneficial bacteria remain alive. Thank you all; it’s more fun to walk across the vast expanses together....

I took a measurement: the device shows 34 degrees at a depth of 15 cm from the surface of the jar, when set to 37. Plus, the device may have some error, and the upper container has been removed. When I touch the jar with my hand, it feels about body temperature. Reuteri is doing fine in this yogurt maker—they live and multiply. And I’m happy with the yogurt. You simply need to fill the jar completely; then everything is fine. If it’s half full or less, the temperature rises sharply—that’s the whole secret.

Every appliance has a heating element.

I once worked as a foreman at the Khimmash Plant in Oryol. I was responsible for a workshop that produced all sorts of things, including Oryol painted samovars.

I’ve already told this story...

So, it’s the same situation here.

The heating element is at the bottom; everything stems from it. :)

The engineers probably calculated that with a full container of milk and the appliance set to 37, the temperature would be 37.

If someone measures at the base, where the heating element is, without a container of milk, it will probably be as high as 50 degrees there.

A colleague of mine at work is originally from a southern country. She and her family make yogurt at home. They always have—whole generations of them. They simply add the starter to the milk and cover/wrap it to keep it warm. They don’t measure the temperature. Yogurts may vary, of course, but their experience shows that yogurt can turn out well even without monitoring the temperature. :)

I made Reuteri using flaxseed jelly with added Jerusalem artichoke flour; perhaps this recipe will be useful to someone who doesn’t like milk. Jerusalem artichoke flour is a source of inulin—the bacteria’s food, replacing lactose. Add flaxseed and Jerusalem artichoke flour to water: 3 tablespoons of flaxseed flour and 2 tablespoons of Jerusalem artichoke flour per 1 liter of water. Mix, bring to a boil, and boil for about 10 minutes for pasteurization. Cool until warm, add the Reuteri starter, and place it in the yogurt maker for 16 hours at 41 degrees. It has a slightly sour kefir-like taste and a slimy, jelly-like consistency. Making it from milk is certainly easier—you don’t need to boil it—but this is an alternative.

I wonder, will it be possible to eat these homemade yogurts with honey and fruit afterward?

Namaste, could you please tell me where you bought these starter cultures? I can’t find them either on Ozon or WB. Thank you, I would be very grateful. It would be interesting to know what sensations you experience after taking them and how long you have been taking them. For now, I only make yogurt, but I don’t always feel like eating yogurt. For yogurt, I used to keep a ready-made starter culture. I decided to switch to capsules, but unfortunately I haven’t been able to find them yet.

These starter cultures are available here: BakZdrav probiotic starter cultures

I also add inulin as food for the bacteria. Empty capsules are available on marketplaces. All of this has already been discussed earlier in this thread.

I’m not taking them in capsules yet because I’m at home and eat yogurt. Although mine has probably already turned into matsoni, if that is an appropriate name for the final product. I’m experimenting with the recipe a little. I blend one medium or small carrot with a small amount of milk until smooth, add the bacteria and inulin, then add the remaining milk to make one liter of the mixture. The taste and composition turn out interesting. To the finished product, I add finely grated garlic, cold-pressed flaxseed oil, dill, and black Himalayan salt. I eat it with cucumber or add it to warm vegetarian borscht (not hot, so that the bacteria remain alive)—it’s very tasty. It should pair perfectly with iceberg lettuce, tomato, and vegetables in general. It suits my stomach and body; I feel good, and it digests easily.

Не забывайте о том что все закваски в bakzdrav имеющие цену 200 рублей за один стик разводятся на 50 литров молока!

Почему-то многие это пропускают.

И буквально весь стик высыпают на 1 литр молока.
