You need to read the topic: Breathing and the Buteyko Method
As well as the supplement — Supplement to the CP Intensive
Many have already read it long ago and are helping themselves significantly.
I won't write here again about the benefits of Buteyko breathing.
But he also gave the world another very useful tool for determining not only one's level of health, but also one's superpowers.
This is CP.
A simple tool—very simple
What you need to do:
Check in every day.
You can simply write it like this:
10 sec.
43 seconds.
65 sec.
I recommend measuring your CP under the same conditions.
For example, in the evening, when 2–3 hours have passed since eating.
In other words, measure it when your body is approximately in the same condition as it was yesterday when you measured your CP.
For example, if you measure it under different conditions—today in the evening immediately after eating, tomorrow early in the morning after waking up, and the day after tomorrow after exercising—the result will not be consistent.
Find a condition in which you feel similar from day to day.
For example, before going to bed, three hours after eating.
Or early in the morning before eating.
The Intensive is endless.
For example, you can record your result in this topic now. Find it a year from now, measure your CP again, and compare how your health has changed...
Moreover, you can help yourself with Buteyko breathing.
And your CP will increase.

What you need to do:
- Sit up straight on a chair.
- Breathe normally.
- DO NOTHING.
- Don't change or tense anything.
- Just sit down and breathe normally.
- After one minute of this calm breathing, pinch your nose while exhaling.
- The exhalation should be normal. That is, you were breathing normally, taking ordinary breaths in and out. On the next NORMAL exhalation, pinch your nose.
- And watch the stopwatch.
- Don't tense anything! Just sit normally.
- Relaxed.
- As soon as you feel like inhaling, inhale. Look at how many seconds are shown on the stopwatch.
- Write it down. That is your CP.
