Dear Beloved Teacher, Shanti Baba! On this festive day of Guru Purnima, please accept my prostrations! Pranam, dandavat From the bottom of my Heart and Soul, I thank You for the Light, for the Love, for the Knowledge! With Respect and Love, I touch Your Lotus Feet.
When you do not feel needy, you feel gratitude. You cannot be grateful and feel needy at the same time. These two feelings cannot exist simultaneously. You can experience them only at different times. When you feel gratitude, you are filled with gratitude and do not feel needy.
When you feel needy, however, grumbling begins somewhere within you. With this understanding, you become grateful. And when you are grateful, gratitude increases according to the law of nature. Gratitude increases so much that you will be given more. “To the one who has, more will be given. From those who have nothing, even the little they have will be taken away.” If you are grateful, even more will come to you. Such is the law. Gratitude increases.
Look: having nothing is simply your position, the direction in which you are moving. Everything grows, whatever it may be! If there are seeds and you sow them, they will sprout. There will be many of them. If the seeds themselves are absent, how can anything grow at all? Open your eyes and see what you have been given. And when you realize what you have been given, this knowledge makes you grateful.
How can one become an instrument of the Guru’s grace (Gurukripa - Gurukripa)?
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar: Be more grateful. Those who are always complaining move a little away from Grace. When we are grateful for what God gives us, we will never lack anything, and grace will continue forever.
Grace comes with gratitude. If you feel gratitude, something appears in your life—that is grace.
In our body, the throat chakra is responsible for gratitude. Above the throat chakra is the Ajna chakra, which is the seat of the Guru. Thus, gratitude is a way to reach the Guru Tattva (the primordial element of the Guru).
And then, where does the Guru lead you? To bliss (pointing to the crown of the head), that is, to the Sahasrara chakra. So, the Guru is like a sandwich between gratitude and bliss.
The principle of the Guru is that which dispels darkness by eliminating all suffering.
At what moments do you call something your good fortune? When you cannot explain its cause. Of course, the same applies to misfortune. If misfortune befalls you, you say that you cannot explain it. Thus, what leads you to the Guru Tattva and then to bliss is gratitude—and vice versa, because when you find solace, you feel even greater gratitude.
It is a privilege, a great blessing, to have access to knowledge. And it is an ancient tradition that has preserved this beautiful knowledge for thousands of years, and today we feel deep gratitude! This is an appropriate occasion to remember and celebrate life with knowledge, life in knowledge, and life for knowledge.
I thank all seekers and all students of Mahapurna School for sharing knowledge, for their support, and for the благостная energy. I thank our Bright Teacher Om Shanti for creating and organizing such a spiritual school, where one can gain Knowledge and find effective practices and tools for spiritual and physical development. I am grateful for the spiritual and friendly atmosphere present in this school.
I thank all my visible and invisible Helpers of Light, Teachers, Protectors, and my Higher Self for leading me toward the Light, toward Truth, toward the Highest, for protecting me and showing me Your Grace and Boundless Love. Thank You.
I thank the Almighty for my wonderful physical body! I thank my body; I thank all my organs and systems! I thank everything physical, which has its own role to play in the game of Existence.

Lord, Most Merciful, You have made my family so united, caring, considerate, strong, and magnanimous. Thank you; the entire universe is You, Lord, and You came to our aid. Thank you; all the vital forces are You, Lord, and they became active to help us. Thank you; all five elements are You, Lord, and they helped us in our time of need. Thank you, lime tree, for the juice of your fruit; it was You, Lord, who healed us. Thank you, Iceland moss, a natural antibiotic, and licorice herb; it is You, Lord, who fills us with vital energy. Thank you, Lord, for allowing me to live in the pure and luminous space of the Ashram and Mahapurna School. Thank you, OM Shanti; the energy from the pure space restores and strengthens us.
For every step, for every breath, for all that God has given me. For pain, for happiness, for good fortune, for the fact that I still laugh and cry, for the fact that I still love—for everything, Lord, I thank You!
