I was most drawn to paintings 3 and 6.
I chose 3 because it warms my heart to think that Narasimha will come and protect His devotees and our School too
And I perceived painting number 6 as though the snakes were also protecting Prahlada and giving him energy, rather than trying to attack him. That is why I also wanted to vote for number 6.

The serpent cult in India is more than 5,000 years old. According to ancient Hindu cosmological beliefs, the Universe is supported by the numerous heads of the serpent Shesha, who lies upon the waters of the Cosmic Ocean, while Vishnu, the preserver of life, rests on a bed formed by his coils. At the end of each cosmic day, Shesha’s fire-breathing mouths destroy the worlds, and the creator Brahma then rebuilds them. The formidable destroyer Shiva constantly wears the mighty seven-headed serpent Vasuki as a sacred cord. With Vasuki’s help, the gods obtained the drink of immortality, amrita, by churning. To prevent Buddha from attaining enlightenment, the demon Mara unleashed a terrible storm. But a huge cobra thwarted the demon’s plans. It coiled around Buddha’s body seven times and protected him. According to myth, the Nagas possess the secrets of magic and sorcery, can revive the dead and change their appearance. According to legend, many maharaja dynasties originated from the Nagas. The serpent is believed to symbolize eternal movement, embody the soul of an ancestor, and protect the home (to be continued......).

Picture number 6. Countless legends and tales have been composed about snakes in India, but they are also associated with the most unexpected omens. One old legend tells of a Brahmin who went into the fields one morning, ignoring the day of Nag Panchami. While plowing a furrow, he accidentally crushed a cobra’s hatchlings. Having found her babies dead, the mother snake decided to take revenge on the Brahmin. Following the trail of blood left by the plow, she found the offender’s home. The owner and his family were sleeping peacefully. The cobra killed everyone in the house, then slithered to a neighboring village, where one of the Brahmin’s daughters lived. There she saw that the young woman had made all the preparations for the Nag Panchami festival and had set out milk, sweets, and flowers for the snakes. The snake then changed her anger to mercy. The woman begged the cobra to bring her father and the rest of her relatives back to life. The snake turned out to be a nagini and willingly fulfilled the virtuous woman’s request.” On the fifth day of the new moon in the month of Shravana (July–August), India solemnly celebrates the festival of snakes—Nag Panchami. No one works on this day. The celebrations begin with the first rays of the sun. Hindus paste images of reptiles above the main entrance to their homes and perform puja—the principal form of worship of the gods in Hinduism. Many people gather in the central square. Trumpets and drums resound. Snakes caught on the eve of the festival are showered with flower petals and generously given money. People pray to the eight principal nagas and offer live snakes milk, clarified butter, honey, turmeric, and roasted rice. Flowers of oleander, jasmine, and red lotus are placed by their holes. Deadly creatures, for example, can be found literally at every step in Saperagaon. Good day to everyone on such a wonderful Spring Festival, celebrating the energy of Isis in each of us.
I looked at the images, and I did not like a single one. There are more interesting paintings on the subject of protecting the Devotee of the Supreme Father, the Creator of all that exists.
The last one confirmed my current view of the world.
By virtue of my life circumstances, Fate led me into various denominations, and through communicating with people I saw how most of them, having raised the energy of the Caduceus within themselves (Kundalini, filled with the Holy Spirit), became filled with a sense of superiority.
We are the chosen ones!
But true devotees, with divine energy within, having accomplished one Herculean feat—killing this feeling of separation and pride within themselves—simply learned to love themselves as a unique structure of the One, and everyone around them, becoming filled with gratitude for being part of this magnificent World. This is not our external battle; it is our inner one.
