Another interesting observation:

If you add the numbers starting with 12 and 1, using adjacent digits, you will always get the number 13.
For example: 12+1=13, and so on.

If you subtract opposite digits, you will get 6.
For example, 12-6=6.
11-5=6.
And so on.
