«This spiritual practice is called “Lotus Flower”. Its meaning is as follows. A person imagines planting a seed inside themselves, in the area of the solar plexus. This tiny seed sprouts within them through the power of Love, formed by their positive thoughts. In this way, by controlling the cultivation of this flower, a person artificially rids themselves of the negative thoughts that constantly swirl around in their head.
– What, do we really think about bad things all the time? – Ruslan asked.
– Of course, – Sensei replied. – Watch yourself carefully. A person devotes a great deal of time to imagining various combat situations, recalling something negative from the past, imagining arguing with someone, proving something to someone, how they deceive others, how they retaliate, their illnesses, their material hardships, and so on. In other words, they constantly hold an image of a negative complex of thoughts.
Here, however, a person consciously rids themselves of all these bad thoughts under inner control. And the more often they maintain a positive image, the faster this seed of Love grows within them. At first, a person imagines that this little seed sprouts and a tiny stem appears. Then it begins to grow; leaves appear on the stem, followed by a small flower bud. And finally, aswith greater nourishment from the power of Love, the bud itself blossoms into a lotus. At first, the lotus is golden in color, but as it grows, it becomes dazzlingly white.
– And how long does it take for it to sprout? – I asked.
– The thing is, it is different for each person. For one person, it may grow over years; for another, over months; for a third, over days; while a fourth may need only moments. It all depends on the person’s desire and on how much they work on themselves. It is not enough merely to grow this flower; one must also constantly sustain it with the power of one’s Love so that it does not wither and die. A person maintains this constant feeling of cultivation at the level of the subconscious or, more precisely, at the level of controlled remote consciousness. The more Love a person gives to this little flower—that is, the more they mentally cherish it, care for it, and protect it from negative influences around them—the more the flower grows. This flower is nourished by the energy of Love—I emphasize, the inner energy of Love. And the more a person remains in a state of Love toward the whole world, toward everyone and everything around them, the larger the flower becomes. But if a person begins to get angry, the flower weakens; if they lose their temper in intense anger, the flower withers and becomes ill. Then one must make the greatest possible effort to restore it. It is a kind of control.
And then, when this flower blossoms and begins to grow in size, it starts to emit, instead of a scent, vibrations, so-called leptons or gravitons—call them what you will—that is, the energy of Love. A person feels the movement of the petals of this little flower, causing their entire body and all the space around them to vibrate, radiating Love and Harmony into the world.

“And can this be felt on a physical level?” Zhenya asked.
“Yes. The lotus manifests as a kind of burning sensation in the solar plexus, spreading warmth. In other words, these sensations arise in the solar plexus, where, according to legend, the soul resides. From there, warmth begins to flow and radiate. The whole point is that wherever you are, whoever you are with, and whatever you are doing or thinking about, you must constantly feel this warmth—the warmth that, figuratively speaking, warms not only your body but also your soul. This inner concentration of Love is located in the flower itself. Ultimately, the more a person cares for it and sings the praises of this Love, the more they feel that, as the flower grows, it completely surrounds their body with its petals, and they are inside a huge lotus.

And this is where a very important moment occurs. When a person reaches the point where the lotus petals begin to surround them on all sides, they feel two flowers. One is inside them, beneath the heart, constantly warming them with a feeling of inner Love. The other is large, like the astral shell of this flower, surroundingof a person and, on the one hand, radiates the vibration of Love into the world, while on the other hand protecting the person from the negative influence of others. Here, the law of cause and effect is at work. In the language of physics, wave communication occurs. Simply put, a person emits waves of goodness, magnifying them many times through the soul and thereby creating a благодатное wave field. This is a force field that the person constantly feels and sustains with the fibers of their Love; at the same time, it has a certain beneficial influence not only on the person themselves, but also on the surrounding world.

What happens through daily practice of this method? First, a person constantly monitors their thoughts and learns to focus on what is good. Therefore, they automatically cannot wish anyone harm or be bad. After all, this practice is daily, every second. And it is for life. It is a kind of method of distraction, because bad thoughts cannot be fought by force. You cannot force love. Therefore, one needs to distract oneself. When a negative, unwanted thought arises, the person focuses on their flower and begins to give it their Love, thereby artificially forgetting everything bad. Or they shift their consciousness to something else, something positive. But they feel the flower constantly: when going to sleep, upon waking, at night, during the day; whatever they may be doing—studying, working, playing sports, and so on. The person feels how Loveboils up inside as the currents of Love move through his chest and spread throughout his body. How this little flower begins to warm him from within, with a special warmth—the divine warmth of Love. And the more Love he gives, the more it springs to life within him. Constantly radiating this Love, a person now looks at others from a position of Love. In other words, secondly, and this is very important—a person attunes himself to the frequency of goodness.

And goodness means luck, good fortune, and health. It means everything! A person’s mood improves, which has a beneficial effect on the psyche. The central nervous system, specifically, is the main regulator of the body’s vital functions. Therefore, first and foremost, this spiritual practice contributes to improving your health. In addition, a person’s life begins to fall into place because he finds reconciliation with everyone. No one wants to quarrel with him; he is welcome everywhere. He does not have major problems. Why? Because even when certain events occur in his life—as life is life—he perceives them completely differently from ordinary people. A new vision of life emerges within him, helping him develop the most optimal and acceptable solution for the situation at hand. For the Wisdom of life awakens within this person.

And third, the most important thing—The soul awakens within a person, and they begin to feel like a Human Being. They begin to understand what God is—that God is an all-pervading substance, rather than a fantasy of a few idiots. They begin to feel the divine presence within themselves and to increase this power through their positive thoughts and feelings. They no longer feel alone in this world, because God is within them and with them; they feel His real presence. There is a saying: “Whoever is in Love is in God, and God is in them, for God is Love itself”. It is also very important that a person begins to sense the aura of a flower, which is inside and around them.

“—And how is this aura around the body perceived?” Stas asked.
“—Over time, you see this vibration around you as a faint glow. The air seems brighter and more transparent, while the surrounding world appears richer in color to your eyes. And most astonishingly, people also begin to notice these transformations in you. There is a popular expression: ‘a person is radiant,’ ‘glowing.’ This is precisely the glow of the wave field generated by the person’s own Love. The people around them also begin to feel this field. They are pleased that this Human Being is nearby; they too begin to feel joy and inner excitement. Many people recover. They feel better simply in their presence, no matter how ill they may be.”Everyone is drawn to this person, opening their soul. That is, people feel Love. These are the open gates of the Heart on the path to God. This is what all the Great Ones spoke about and what Jesus meant when he said: “Let God into your heart.”

This spiritual practice of the “Lotus” has been used since the beginning of time. Since ancient times, it was believed that the “Lotus” gives birth to gods and that a god awakens within the “Lotus.” In the sense that the divine essence—the soul—awakens in the “Lotus Flower,” in Harmony and Love within you. After all, a person constantly cares for their flower, constantly controlling their thoughts and feelings so that the “Lotus Flower” does not wither.
—So, does a real flower actually grow there?—Slavik asked in surprise.
—No. Naturally, there is no material flower there. It is a kind of game of the imagination. This process can be called something else: awakening divine Love, attaining enlightenment, complete union with God—“moksha,” “dao,” “Shinto.” Call it whatever you like. But these are all just words and religion. It is simply the creation, through positive thought and a person’s feeling of Love, of a specific energy field, which, in turn, on the one hand affects the surrounding reality and, on the other hand, changes the inner frequency of the person’s own perception of the mind.
– And the soul? I asked.
– The soul is you, a kind of eternal generator of divine power, if you will, but one that must be set in motion through your constant thoughts of Love… Someday I will tell you more about the soul and its purpose.
Kostya joined the conversation:
– You said this spiritual practice is very ancient. How ancient?
– I already told you that it has existed for as long as human beings have existed as conscious subjects.
– No, I mean, how long ago—seven, ten thousand years?
– You are considering too short a period of time. Humanity, in a civilized form, existed repeatedly in the past, and even possessed technologies more advanced than those of today. The question is why those civilizations disappeared. Someday I will tell you about that as well.

– But if this practice is so ancient, surely at least some legends about it must have survived in our civilization.
– Certainly. Numerous ancient sources confirm that the spiritual practice of the “Lotus Flower” existed in earlier times as well. The “Lotus,” for example, was given to chosen pharaohs of Ancient Egypt. And if you look into the literature on this subject, you will be convinced that Egyptian myths and legends say that even their sun god Ra was born from a lotus flower. This flower served as the throne on which Isis, Horus, and Osiris sat.

In the ancient Vedas, the oldest Hindu books, written in Sanskrit,The lotus is also one of the central themes. In particular, considering that God has three principal male manifestations—Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Protector, and Shiva the Destroyer—the following is also said: “From the body of the god Vishnu emerged a gigantic golden lotus, on which sat the ‘lotus-born’ creator Brahma. The golden thousand-petaled lotus grew, and the Universe grew along with it.” In China, as in India, this flower still symbolizes purity and chastity. People associated their finest human qualities and aspirations with the lotus. In China, it is believed that on a special “western heaven” there is a lotus lake, and each flower growing there is connected with the soul of a deceased person: if the person was virtuous, their flower blossoms; if not, the flower withers.

In Greece, the lotus is considered a plant dedicated to the goddess Hera. Heracles made one of his journeys in a golden solar boat shaped like a lotus. But all of these are legends and myths that, nevertheless, are not entirely fictional. They arose from real examples of people's self-cultivation, thanks to this ancient spiritual practice. In earlier times, when the animal nature predominated among most people, the “Lotus Flower” was granted only to the chosen few, individuals who were more or less spiritually developed. And it is natural that other people later perceived these individuals as gods. For one who has cultivated the “Lotus” within themselves and awakened the soul within, in reality becomes godlike, for he creates through Love alone, with his thoughts.

When the time came for the spiritual enlightenment of the majority of people, the Bodhisattvas of Shambhala gave this spiritual practice to the Buddha. It was precisely through performing this “Lotus” technique that Siddhartha Gautama attained enlightenment while sitting beneath the bodhi tree. With Rigden’s permission, the Buddha gave it to his disciples so they could spread it among the masses. Unfortunately, over time people distorted the Buddha’s Teaching and created an entire religion based on this spiritual practice. As a result, even Buddhists who practice this religion now imagine their paradise as some extraordinary place where people, like Gods, are born on lotus flowers. They search for this place, although it is always within them. They even made a God out of the Buddha, although in reality he was simply a Man who came to know the truth through this spiritual practice. This is where the lotus originated as a symbol of Buddhism, along with the expressions “the Buddha sits in the lotus” and “the Buddha stands in the lotus.” He simply showed people by his own example what a person can achieve by overcoming their animal nature within. He truly did much for the spiritual development of humanity, spreading this spiritual practice among people in its original form. Jesus Christ gave a similar prayer for awakening divine Love.

“But is prayer and meditation the same thing?” she askedTatyana.
– Essentially, yes. Jesus’ prayer, “Our Father,” is the same thing. It’s just that everything there is too mundane: people ask for bread and so on, but the meaning remains the same: a person spiritually educates themselves, nurtures the soul within through control over their thoughts, their desire, steadfast Faith, and Love.
In general, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, and all the great ones possessed knowledge of this spiritual practice, since they drew from the same source. It helped not only them to become themselves, but also to help other people discover their divine essence. Why did everyone enjoy being near Buddha, Jesus, and Muhammad? Why do “holy people,” as the saying goes, seem to glow? Why, when we meet complete strangers, do we not want to leave them? Because they radiate this Love. Because they constantly increase this power—the power of goodness, the power of Love, this divine manifestation within a person. Of such people it is said: God is in this person. And that is truly so.

– So, all you need to do is think about this flower with Love? – Andrey asked.
– No. You need not only to concentrate and think, but most importantly, to evoke these sensations of warmth in the area of the solar plexus and constantly sustain them with your kind thoughts. Many people may not succeed right away. Because you need to understand the essence of all this, imagine it more vividly and, I repeat once again, evoke all these sensations. Why am I drawing your attention to this? Because when a person evokes these sensations, they begin to sustain them not merely with the mind, but at the level of the submind, or more precisely, the subconscious. This leads to the awakening of the soul. It simply cannot fail to awaken. And the more you nourish it with your Love, the more it will awaken, and the more you will become your true self—the one you have eternally been within, rather than the external mortal shell.
And, after a brief silence, Sensei added:
Life is too short, and we must have time to sing of the spiritual essence in the heart...

...– And generally speaking, what does this actually look like? Please explain it once again for the especially slow-witted, Андрей asked humorously.
– It is simply the fibers—the cultivation of the inner power of Love. For example, you may experience a feeling as though you are expecting something very, very good. Say you are waiting for some huge, long-desired, long-awaited gift that you have dreamed about intensely. And then you receive it: you are happy and overflowing with gratitude. You even get goosebumps all over your body—in other words, you experience these sensations in the area of the solar plexus, as though something beautiful and good is emanating from you, or as though you are waiting for it. That is the feeling you should evoke artificially and constantly maintain in the area of the solar plexus. Ultimately, it becomes natural for you. And people begin tofeel. In other words, you radiate this joy… And that’s it. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a flower or something else. These are merely images to make it easier to perceive.
– And the flower that will be around the body. What is that like?
– Well, are you familiar with concepts such as the astral, mental, and other energy bodies—in other words, the multilayered aura around a person?
– Yes.
– So, when this force field of goodness within you expands, you begin to feel as if you have multilayered petals. You feel enveloped and protected; you flourish in a lotus. At the same time, you feel that, like the sun above the world, you warm everything with the warmth of immense Love.

This is a constant meditation, wherever you are and whatever you are doing: you evoke these fibers, these sensations, these flows of energy. What is the point? The more you practice, the stronger they become. Ultimately, this process acquires material properties, and you will truly be able to influence people positively. In other words, you will be able to do this when you have completely changed yourself: both inwardly in your thoughts and outwardly in your actions».

Explanations from the perspective of human physiology

«For Max, the customary period of despondency began, during which he once again made fruitless attempts to cultivate a “flower” within himself. And since nothing was working, he ran to the Sensei“cry on someone’s shoulder” and once again seek answers to his inconsolable questions.
— Sensei, where did I go wrong? I seemed to be doing everything right... In a state of calm, I imagined planting a seed inside myself, in the area of the solar plexus. Then I began to “nourish” it with the power of Love, keeping positive thoughts in my mind... At first, I even felt some slight vibration in the area of the solar plexus and imagined that it had somehow sprouted... But then several days passed—and nothing... I can’t even feel that initial warmth anymore...
— Well, that’s right. When you did everything with a feeling of Love, it worked. But when you became distracted and tried to do it with your mind alone, nothing came of it. That’s natural. The “lotus flower” is constant control and a constant longing for Love. In order to cultivate the “flower,” you must always attune yourself to love for God and for all that exists. Maintain this inner state regardless of any twists and turns of fate. And I emphasize once again—you must grow the “flower” not with thoughts, but with a sincere feeling. The essence of this spiritual practice lies in awakening the feeling of Love, then strengthening it and preserving it constantly—I repeat, constantly—until a physical sensation manifests in the area of the solar plexus.
— And why exactly there? Can this be explained at all from the standpoint of human physiology? — Max was carried away by his questions.
Sensei smiled almost imperceptibly. In It was at this point that Volodya sat down on the bench beside them. And since the extra class was drawing to a close, the other guys began joining them as well.
— It can also be explained from the standpoint of human physiology, so to speak, at the crudest, most primitive level, — Sensei replied.
— And why is physiology a primitive level? — Max asked with his favorite mocking tone, sensing that his persona was at the center of everyone's attention.
— Oh, it certainly is primitive! — Sensei smiled. — In reality, a person is pure physics, nothing but formulas describing the movement of energies. And all their chemistry stems precisely from that. What I am trying to explain to you is merely the most primitive breakdown, demonstrated on your fingers through your physiological associations.
—I would also be more than happy to hear about this “primitive breakdown” once again, — Volodya rumbled. — Although when you explain it, “once again” is never redundant. I always hear some new addition.
— I agree, — said Stas, a tall, athletic young man. His friend Zhenka, who was just as tall and broad-built, rose slightly from the bench and jokingly shook Stas’s and Volodya’s hands with solemn ceremony.
— I completely agree with you.

— Well, since we're on the subject, let's get started, — Sensei said, waving his hand. — Let's review a lesson from the past. So, you all know what the solar plexus is. — His gaze stopped on Max, who nodded uncertainly without saying yes or no,No, no. — All right, I understand. This plexus, also called the celiac plexus, is a collection of nerve ganglia of various sizes and shapes, connected to one another by a large number of communicating branches of varying length and thickness. It varies greatly both in the number of nerve trunks that approach it and the ganglia that comprise it, as well as in the shape of this powerful conglomerate. At its center, the solar plexus resembles connected vertices of a triangle. In its overall external shape, it is most often an irregular circle, since the nerves from the solar plexus radiate in all directions toward the organs of the abdominal cavity, like light from the sun. And, naturally, it contains many nerve endings. The solar plexus is one of the largest autonomic plexuses. It is even called the “abdominal brain.”

So, what happens when a person performs the spiritual practice “Lotus Flower”? If the process of circulating internal energies is figuratively projected onto human physiology, the following picture emerges. When attention is deliberately concentrated on the solar plexus with a feeling—let me emphasize, a positive feeling—the nerve endings are stimulated, including the nervus vagus, one of the twelve pairs of cranial nerves, also known as the vagus nerve. By the way, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that in the formation of the solar plexus, asboth the right and left vagus nerves participate in its parasympathetic part. Moreover, the plexus consists for the most part of the common posterior trunk of both vagus nerves. Now let us return to our concentration. After stimulation of the vagus nerve, signals are transmitted along it to the brain. Passing through the distribution centers, they reach the hypothalamus...

...Let us now return to the beginning. What happens when performing the spiritual practice “Lotus Flower”? When the hypothalamus receives stimulation from the vagus nerve caused specifically by this concentration of positive feelings, these nerve signals, in turn, pass through both centers. Moreover, alongside the greater stimulation of the agathodemon, there is also less pronounced stimulation of the kakodemon. When the agathodemon center is stimulated by this kind of energy—or, to put it more simply, by the energy of “Love”—a person experiences a state of bliss and all-encompassing joy.

Now let us consider Max’s case. In principle, almost all beginners go through something similar. As soon as a person weakens their attention or becomes completely distracted by their animal feeling, a surge occurs, accumulated through the simultaneous stimulation of the kakodemon center. At first, this manifests as the emergence of negative thoughts and the arousal of negative emotions. This is where doubts arise. And when you—I ask you to pay particular attention to this—give these thoughts your own power—attention, then, as a consequence of this synthesis, a number of other centers of the nervous system become aroused, causing the person to fall into depression, develop a gloomy, dejected mood, or become aggressive. This process of your attention being seized by negative thoughts then becomes even more aggravated, thereby stimulating the kakodemon center more strongly. It becomes a vicious circle. And the person, as they say, once again falls into the nets of their animal nature.
— But how can this vicious circle be broken? — Max asked.
— That is precisely the whole trick! From birth, the human brain is tuned to the frequency of the animal nature, although this is the most primitive program of all its capabilities. The kakodemon center is stimulated almost constantly by a person who lives an ordinary life without taking part in the development of their spiritual nature. That is why such elements as envy, malice, hatred, greed, self-interest, jealousy, fear, selfishness, and so on are steadily present in this individual. In some people they are more pronounced; in others, less so. But day after day, these people bite their own tails and suffer even more from the bite. The stimulation of the agathodemon in them occurs extremely rarely—mostly only as insignificant irritations of this center, and even then for a very short period of time. Moreover, this surge is subsequently suppressed by the more strongly stimulated kakodemon center.

But people who follow theon the spiritual path deliberately engage in stimulating the agathodemon center. What does this lead to? Let us take the “Lotus Flower” in particular, since its pattern of functioning in the human body is the outcome of any spiritual path, so to speak, that leads to the same inner Gates. Thus, if you perform the “Lotus Flower” correctly, control your emotions, thoughts, and the power of your attention, and try to spend most of your time—or, even better, constantly—in a state of Love, localizing this feeling in the area of the solar plexus, you can achieve the following. Constant irritation and stimulation of the agathodemon center intensifies its activity, activating certain mechanisms that suppress the minor secondary stimulation of the cacodemon center... This is pure physics now, so I will not go into details that would be incomprehensible to you. In short, to put it figuratively in physiological terms, something resembling the complete or partial inhibition of the cacodemon area occurs. As a result, energy is released that sharply intensifies the activity of the agathodemon, which in turn leads to a surge that actively stimulates the pineal gland. It is also called the epiphysis or pineal body. And it is precisely as a result of the epiphysis functioning under the renewed conditions—in simpler terms, a change in wave frequency—that spiritual vision opens up in a person, or, as it is called in the East, the “Third Eye.” And this, in turn, which, in turn, already contributes to awakening the soul’s tremendous powers. A person does not merely change inwardly; a treasure trove of genuine knowledge and the realities of higher worlds is revealed to them…”

Mistakes When Performing the “Lotus Flower” Practice

“He was sitting in the car with Sensei, waiting to meet someone regarding the Cassandra company. Max was going through what seemed to him like some of the worst days of his life. His soul felt troubled by all the bustle of the world. Max remembered how, a few days earlier, he had once again abandoned the exercises of the spiritual practice of the ‘Lotus Flower,’ justifying it to himself by saying that he wasn’t getting much of anything worthwhile out of it. On top of that, a whole mountain of work-related problems requiring immediate attention had piled up. But no matter how hard he tried to devote all his attention to them, they did not diminish by even a little. Another wave of despondency came over Max, and he once again began thinking about how he should start taking his spiritual practice seriously… He took the opportunity to speak with Sensei in private and told him about these problems.

—Why can’t I get anything right again?—Max complained. —I seem to start doing the ‘lotus,’ and I feel a surge of joy. But then…
He waved his hand.
—It’s a natural process,—Sensei replied. —It happens to many people. At first, everyone feels a surge of a kind of spiritual excitement, you might say an elevation of the soul, and an extraordinarily clear understanding of the depth of of the divine nature. To many, this seems so simple that they wonder how they could have failed to understand something so elementary until now. In other words, a person seems to awaken spiritually. But... a day or two passes, and a spiritual decline begins. The animal nature becomes activated. The person no longer feels the excitement they felt before. Mean and filthy little thoughts begin to attack them, suggesting that all this spiritual stuff is nonsense, some kind of “scam.” They begin to think that it is senility, stupidity, that they are simply going crazy or hallucinating, that they are practically developing schizophrenia, since they are becoming unlike everyone else. They are already too lazy to pray or meditate. A thousand excuses arise in their mind: they are tired, they have no time... A feeling of awkwardness begins to emerge, sometimes accompanied by an oppressive sense of guilt for the moments of spiritual elevation they experienced. But guilt before whom? Before their own animal nature! Or else various problems begin to pile up; something happens. The person becomes immersed in these concerns. In short, everything is done to distract their attention from the spiritual. And by giving in to these provocations, the person simply loses this battle to their animal nature, completely forgetting what happened just two days ago.

A wise person, however, will examine themselves and try to understand why they no longer have the same desire or excitement, why they no longer derive the same pleasure from spiritual practice. They will realize that their animal nature has simply become activatedbeginning... And a foolish person will follow the lead of his material nature. But after some time, when the animal’s onslaught weakens, he will once again rush off in search of the spiritual, and begin to read and reread... He constantly needs examples, some kind of proof, demonstrations of spiritual abilities. All of this will again produce a powerful spiritual surge. This process can be compared to an adrenaline rush caused by excessive excitement. But later, when the effect of, say, these “hormones” wears off, the person again experiences a loss of strength, during which he once more surrenders to the animal nature. To prevent this from happening, one must clearly understand many things, envision one’s situation, and be ready for the contests ahead. When such a material barrier arises, one simply needs to move it aside, so to speak, and “render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and unto God the things that are God’s.” Remain on the side of the spiritual and redouble your efforts. The point is to emerge from situations shaped by the animal nature correctly, with your “flower” preserved. You must distract yourself from the negativity being imposed on you, which will press in on you from all sides. Turn your attention to inner love, to the positive. You must have firmness of conviction, because your faith is your future reality.

“It’s difficult to maintain inner love within yourself,” Max complained.
“In fact, it only seems difficult. It’s difficult because there are so many temptationsaround you, because a multitude of thoughts begins to spin within you, and you scatter your attention among them. But essentially, everything is simple. It isn't difficult for you to drink a glass of water, is it? No. That doesn't distract you from the thought you're considering, does it? No. It's the same here... In life, a person runs straight through a forest teeming with thoughts of a material nature. And in this forest there are many tricks, snares, and nets set out, as well as pits dug. But a person must run with their eyes open. They must learn to dodge and see these traps, understanding that none of this belongs to them.
— Yes, it really gets its hooks into you.
— Naturally. It is supposed to get its hooks into you. Its goal is to bring you under its control; otherwise, it will be under your control. This is war, Max. Your war, where your main weapon is faith. Anyone who chooses the spiritual path simply needs to cast aside all empty illusions, “like a mirage in the desert,” as the saints used to say. They need to learn to understand that this entire material world is merely a moment before eternity. But the trouble is that, at the beginning of this path, many stumble over the same stumbling block: a person cannot believe in the endlessness of future existence, in the fact that life there is eternal, while life here is temporary. They need proof. And when they receive that proof, it is sometimes too late to change anything. But if a person has sufficient strength, they do not need any proof. They feel and understand everything as it is.
— And which power do you mean?
— The power of the soul. It is a fragment of God Himself within a person! But this fragment, so to speak, has not been activated. And the catalyst for activation is our true choice. People become saints here, on Earth. A person who has conquered their animal nature and attained enlightenment does not die; they go to God... — But what exactly is wrong with me personally? I’m not a complete lost cause, am I? — Max joked.
— Not completely, — Sensei replied in the same joking tone. — As they say, hope dies last. — So what exactly is my problem?

Sensei looked at Max wearily.
— The same thing that is wrong with many people. You like to watch the battlefield from afar and discuss the battle, but not take part in it. Your doubts are not merely a spoonful of tar in a barrel of honey. They are an entire ladle of potassium cyanide. Because they do not merely spoil everything; they kill everything best within you... You need to overcome your doubts before they lead you into the abyss. Cast them aside! Live kindly, decently, with God in your soul. Do nothing bad, even if it is not to your advantage... To a truly spiritual person, all these material problems and “complications” are, by and large, utterly irrelevant. Because all of it is a mirage and an illusion that will vanish and dissipate.
— No, but how can you simply disregard it all? How are you supposed to live in the world? Problems have to be dealt with somehow. You can’t just sit back with your hands folded, especially when these problems affect not only you but also your loved ones.
— You didn’t understand me. To deal withProblems certainly need to be dealt with, but you must not turn them into the meaning of your existence. And the main thing is that, no matter what happens, no matter how you are tossed from one problem to another, it is important always to remain a Human Being. Because any trouble you have in life is, first and foremost, nothing other than a test of your animal “lousiness.” Therefore, a spiritually resilient person simply does not care that one difficulty or another periodically arises in their life. They deal with them, but do not allow them to become tyrannical masters of their thoughts. A foolish person, however, gives in to this provocation from their animal nature and lets it lead them like a donkey toward a carrot dangling in front of it, without even noticing that they are approaching the edge of an abyss. Thus, essentially, any external problem that you have taken seriously is your internal problem—a personal inner conflict between you and your animal nature. It is all within you!”.

Yes
