Many people even engage in self-development so they can boast about it to others and elevate themselves.

“Look at me, see what I’m like!”

Only a few develop in order to see more in other people.

To see what these other people are really like.

Yesterday I knew nothing and could do nothing. Today I know and can do more. And I also begin to see more in other people.

Things I couldn’t see before.

And the higher I climb, the more I see. I could even say—I see more good.

Not at all in order to show myself off.

Outwardly, yes, we are all climbing the mountain. From the outside, it sometimes looks the same. But everyone has a different goal.

Some do it for fame, power, and recognition...

Others do it to learn about the world.

Wow, this is really amazing—it resonated with me 1,000%! Such a valuable insight on the path of self-development.

That’s exactly how it turns out; they say it for a reason: other people mirror us. And, while becoming absorbed in vegetarianism and spirituality, we can forget the original, noble goal and start using them to elevate ourselves above others and show off: “Look at what a good person I am, while you—you’re dirty materialists, meat-eaters, with low vibrations and primitive thinking...” But if we speak this way and see it in those around us, then it means it is in us. And instead of making progress through practice, we have gone into decline!

It’s actually so difficult to reach the level where, sincerely, with all your soul, heart, and thoughts, you see only the good and the light in the people around you!!!
