What does this word mean?

A — negation.
Theos — God.

God is a religious concept.

Does this mean, for example, that a shaman is an atheist?

A shaman is not religious.

I’m saying this because atheists are currently being attacked for not wanting to believe in all these religious superstitions, but that does not mean they are NOT SPIRITUAL.

Spirituality and religiosity are often entirely different concepts.

Yes, I’m speaking up for such atheists now.

If it comes to that, the Higher Power values those who consciously come to It more than those who come like a herd...

It often happens like this:

Someone in a family is burdened with some kind of religious nonsense, and when they refuse to agree with all of it, they are branded an atheist!

But in fact, they may be the only spiritual person in that family.

In other words, atheism does not deny a person’s spirituality.

Everyone can have their own relationship with the One who created them.

Not one borrowed from some bearded people...

That is precisely why all children are atheists!

But they are more spiritual than all of you put together.

Yes
Usually, when I try to analyze myself and answer the question of whether I am religious, I say no.

I am not religious, although I have probably been everywhere I was allowed in :)

And wherever I was allowed in, I immersed myself completely. And I suppose that during those periods, yes, I was religious. And sincerely religious.

But once I reached what was possibly my maximum, I moved on.

I have already said this, but I will say it again: moving on never meant that I began to consider something from before harmful to me. Nor did I criticize it in any way.

No.

I simply accumulated more and more new experience and knowledge.

And not only, I should note, in religions or sects. By the way, the word “sect” is not a bad word at all.

What does an ordinary person mean by “becoming a spiritual person”?

Yes, unquestionably, one way is to join some already well-known major religion.

That is the simplest option.

Those are exactly the people who immediately start calling everyone else atheists :)

The second, less noticeable way, is to become a Yogi.

Not a gymnast-yogi, but a Yogi.

By this term, I include a truly enormous range of Yoga. It undoubtedly also includes, for example, Qigong, Reiki, even Karate-do, and so on.

Gradually, even in the true martial arts, you arrive at something that can be called a Higher Power, Cosmic Intelligence, and so on.

In Yoga, this is especially clearly defined.

In these systems, you believe in nothing except what you have experienced yourself.

Experienced through persistent effort.

That is precisely why I emphasize that even when I was a Christian, I remained a Yogi.

What one is supposed to believe has always been meaningless to me.

That is precisely why I can immediately cast aside anything that tells me something like: “only our religion is correct, while Yoga is satanism, Reiki is satanism, the chakras are from Satan, everything around us is from Satan, pay us money—that is from God...”

And the third, even less noticeable way, is when a person simply lives an ordinary life but is a good person.

They do not lie or steal, they smile at you, help in whatever way they can, never say a harsh word, remain silent when necessary, are modest and ascetic... And suddenly, when they leave, it feels as though something is missing from this world...

As though this world had been impoverished by an immeasurable amount...

Such people often go completely unnoticed while they are still with us.
